Tia Blanco

Tiarah "Tia" Lue Blanco (born May 5, 1997) is an American professional surfer, entrepreneur, and television personality known for her graceful style on the waves and her commitment to a plant-based lifestyle. Born in Puerto Rico to a Filipino mother and a father of Italian, Irish, and French descent, Blanco'searly life was shaped by her father's career as a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Coast Guard. The family frequently relocated to coastal areas, living in Puerto Rico and Hawaii before settling in San Clemente, California—a renowned surfing hub. Introduced to surfing at age three by her father, Blanco quickly fell in love with the ocean. She began competing at 13 and turned professional around 2012. Her breakthrough came in 2015 when she won gold in the Open Women's division at the International Surfing Association (ISA) World Surfing Games in Nicaragua—the first of back-to-back titles, successfully defending it in 2016 in Costa Rica. These victories marked her as one of the top talents in the sport. Earlier achievements include third place at the 2014 World Juniors, multiple National Scholastic Surfing Association (NSSA) titles, and wins in events like the Ron Jon Vans Junior Pro. In 2021, Blanco gained wider recognition by winning ABC's reality competition *The Ultimate Surfer*, earning a spot on the World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour. She has competed on the WSL Qualifying Series, reaching a career-high ranking in the top 20-50 range. Off the board, Blanco is a plant-based athlete, who promotes plant-based living for health, animal welfare, and environmental reasons, launching her own "Peaches and Cream" protein supplement with VeganSmart in 2017 and serving as an ambassador for brands like Beyond Meat and Jambar. With her sister Aja and manager, she co-founded Dear Self Skincare, a cruelty-free skincare line. Most recently she launched a bamboo-based youth apparel line with her sister, Boots and Honey. Blanco has secured sponsorships from major brands including Reef, Sony, TCL, J7 Surfboards, JOLYN, Local Motion, and Dragon Eyewear. She practices yoga for balance and mindfulness, and enjoys painting as a creative outlet. In her personal life, Blanco began dating television personality Brody Jenner in 2022. They welcomed daughter Honey Raye Jenner in July 2023 and married in an intimate ceremony in Malibu in July 2025.
